A Story of Redemption

I stood of apart from them, watching with keen eyes. She was clad in the robes of the darkest might sky, his were of the paleness of the full moon. They stood apart from each other facing one another. She took two steps away for everyone he took closer. Her actions and words became filled with fury and anger. Suddenly without reasons known to anybody but each other they stopped. Her arms slowly rose till they were out stretched parallel to the ground. A low flame rose from her feet and slowly grew to encompass her legs then torso and finally her out stretched arms, but never spreading above her collar. The flames grew hotter so even I could feel them from where I stood. Suddenly he leapt crossing the distance between them in a flash. She began rising straight into the air, rising towards the endless abyss. His arms caught her around her waist as he drew her in close. He clung to her with all his might regardless of the flames and the pain they must have been causing him. Still she rose, as she rose the flames and heat did as well. On wards and upwards they rose. The flames grew hotter and the light they gave off became brighter and brighter till it felt I was looking into a sun. They kept going till at once everything reached a crescendo. The shock wave they gave off knocked me flat on my back. When I recovered by senses, they stood side by side, hand in hand before me smiling. Her robe was now as white as his. They spoke to me, neither questioning why I was there. They told me their story which was one filled with both love and pain. At the end they bade me go and share this moment with others so they might learn. So here I am writing their story to you, take it and learn what you will.
